Romani was Professor Emeritus of Public Health Administration at the University of Michigan and Visiting Researcher at the Child, Youth and Family Development Programme of the Human Sciences Research Council, and Barbara A. Anderson was Professor of Sociology and Research Scientist at the Population Studies Center, University of Michigan and Visiting Researcher at the Child, Youth and Family Development Programme of the Human Sciences Research Council.
